Renewable Technology Explainer Video
In 2020, Paul Dauenhauer was selected as one of the MacArthur fellows. Under Reuben Lara’s art direction, I designed and animated this explainer video that showcases new renewable technology. Paul and his team have developed a new technology that converts renewable organic material into a usable power supply for our everyday life. So, we can help the environment and not hurt it. Go Paul!

Styleframes
When building these styleframes, I first focused on creating a cohesive color palette. It needed to work with the simple spheres in the beginning and the complex shot at the end. The simple color palette helped the design process of every frame feel like it was all part of the same world.
Success
The client loved the final video. It told the story, highlighted the technology, and in the end, my portion of the video became part of a small documentary. Watch the final video, a mini-documentary, here. (extended video at the bottom)
